Onur Engin - Pais DJs Guest Mix (MP3 Podcast on ParisDJs.com) 2011-04-26 Onur Engin is an expert music producer and DJ from Istanbul, who's been making big waves in the re-edits scene with some addictive, deep and funky edits of Soul and Disco tracks, released on stricly limited, no repress vinyl 12 inches. Seun Anikulapo Kuti - World People #01 (MP3 Podcast on ParisDJs.com) 2011-04-18 Seun Anikulapo Kuti, the youngest son of Fela, is now in his late 20s. He grew up in Kalukaluta, Nigeria, and we asked him about his musical background during the 80s and the 90s… "It was all about Afrobeat! Traditional music also, and reggae. Paris DJs Soundsystem and Musiques Impures present Adrian Quesada's Spring Reverb (MP3 Podcast on ParisDJs.com and MusiquesImpures.com) 2011-04-13 The Echocentrics is a new project of psychedelic, cinematic and dusty soul produced by Adrian Quesada of Brownout/Ocote Soul Sounds/Grupo Fantasma fame. Loads of spring reverb, psyched out farfisa organs and heavy drums are accented by beautiful vocals sung in English, Spanish and Portuguese by Tita Lima from Brazil and Natalia Clavier from Argentina. The album is out on Ubiquity Records. Grant Phabao, without any doubt the greatest reggae producer in the world today, has already two skanking remixes on their way... while Adrian Quesada is preparing on his side some remixes for Phabao's upcoming album with The Jays, Stepping up In Time. Something's happening here! We did this collaborative mix about Adrian Quesada with fellow blogger Nicolas Ragonneau of Musiques Impures fame, where he selected the album tracks and I completed with some rare stuff and remixes.
