Will Holland alias Quantic is one of the most talented and prolific producers of his generation. Now living in Colombia, he's gathered an international cast of musicians including legendary pianist Alfredo Linares and drummer extraordinaire Malcom Catto (check our dedicated mix) and will be playing tomorrow Saturday September 12th at Le Bataclan in Paris. A not-to-be-missed show organised by the What The Funk activists crew, whose resident DJ Soulist is offering here a 30mn mix of Quantic's latests albums - for those who still don't know what this buzz is all about...

Souleance - Le Mix

Souleance is the result of the partnership between the talented electronic hip hop beatmaker/producer Fulgeance and Paris DJs resident Soulist, who's been organizing incredibly groovy What The Funk events for 6 years now in Paris with his partner Freeworker… Souleance is really a mixture of Soulist's organic influences, spirituality and samples from live instruments, and Fulgeance producer's know how and malice, deep beats plus geek attitude towards technology. Their freshly sounding first 12 inch Le Monde EP has just been released on the English label First Word Records, combining newest tendencies of beats music and best urban music traditions - as in this showcase mix - a perfect introduction to the Souleance sound!
